Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company has been named Company of the Year for 2008 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana (IIAI). The award was presented at the IIAI’s annual convention on November 18, 2008. Indiana Farmers Mutual was also the recipient of this prestigious award in 1998, 2001, 2002 and 2005.
According to the IIAI, this award recognizes the company that most demonstrates a strong commitment to the independent insurance agency system in Indiana. Roger Ronk, Executive Vice President of the IIAI, stated, "Indiana Farmers Mutual excelled in all areas of its Indiana operations, which included: commitment to growth in Indiana; uniqueness of products and services offered, value added services and programs offered to agencies; a strong, long-term marketing plan for Indiana; and quality of staff in Indiana. The strong commitment to and support of independent agents by Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company qualifies it as the worthy recipient of the 2008 IIAI Company of the Year."
